The Texas Liberty Dollar

The Texas Silver Liberty Dollar was created as part of the Liberty Dollar State Monetary Initiative (SMI).  Texas Silver Liberty Dollars were only minted twice and fewer than 2000 exist.

SMI Liberty Dollars were designed to offer an alternative, constitutional currency for use in each state.  By the end of 2006, SMI Liberty Dollars were minted for 25 of the 50 states.

As this private gold and silver currency grows in each State, and is eventually officially adopted by each State, the currency will return this country to a sound monetary system based on value.

The First Day Issue Texas Liberty Dollars were minted in limited quantities in 2006, and are numismatic collectibles commemorating the historic first striking of the Texas Silver Liberty Dollar.

Bernard von NotHaus, the creator of the Liberty Dollar, personally hallmarked and numbered 305 of these First Day Issue Texas Liberty Dollars, and hallmarked an additional 130 pieces.
